On 7th June I will be attempting to Escape from Alcatraz: the infamous triathlon with a 1.5mile swim across the San Francisco bay, an 18 mile hilly bike ride and lastly an tough 8 mile up more hills and sand ladders. I'm training hard, you need to: a couple of people have died on this triathlon in the past, mainly those who weren't expecting the chilly 13 C waters! My aim is to raise 1,000 for fledging charity Foundation for Change, a charity who help people get back on their feet after substance misuse. Their approach is unique by uncovering and understanding the roots of the misuse and then understanding the users relationship to it. This takes real courage and a strong sense of self, more than jumping in some cold water.
