Hi guys, I'm running the 'Run to the Beat' 10k in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on 14th September. My aunt-in-law Debbie recently died of sarcoma, a soft tissue cancer that affected her heart and lungs, so Macmillan seemed like a natural choice of charity for me to support in her memory. Cancer affects everyone, no matter what class, ethnicity, age or background you have. Whenever a family member or friend who has been affected by cancer has spoken to me about their experience they have always commended the unwavering support of the Macmillan nurses and their wider community. They are a constant source of help to cancer sufferers and their families not only providing specialist healthcare professionals but also emotional, financial and practical support.
