This year, as part of a team, I am swimming to France. No wetsuits, just normal swimming costumes in water about 15-17 degrees, with jelly fish, p and o ferries and other things floating around.
There are 6 of us in our team, each fund raising for different charities - and today is like to announce who I'm raising money for.
In 1984 a cousin of my Mum's started a charity building wells in Africa, Brenda passed away in 1999, having been honoured in the 1995 New Years honours list For service's to the Provision of Water in Developing Countries, but the charity continued to be run by volunteers living in Brenda's village.
Recently Wilmslow Wells passed the 1 million pound fundraising mark, and as they are run by volunteers, have only ever spent about £1000 on admin - therefore over 99% of their funds have been spent on projects.
You can find out more about what they do here

Or on their Facebook page.
Our team will soon have a Facebook and Twitter page - so you can follow our training and the event!
