About
Throughout Lent, beginning Wed 22nd Feb, Whiteinch based Youth worker Jamie Pringle will be walking 200km over Lent, to aim to raise £2000 for Connect in the City, a new youth outreach event in the city of Glasgow. Connect in the City aims to provide 4 days of activity provision for young people in the Whiteinch area of Glasgow in July 2023. Whiteinch falls within the lowest Decile and Quantile markers in the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation, and as a result, we are looking to heavily subsidise this week to ensure finance is not a barrier to young people in P6 - S6 attending this event in the summer. Connect in the City is run by The Wheel Trust (SCO34972) in partnership with Scripture Union Scotland (SC54297). Jamie, Youth Worker at West Glasgow New Church, actively works with the young people of Whiteinch weekly, through youth clubs and schools work and has a passion to serve young people in this community to know they are loved and they have a place they belong.
