Hi everyone, don’t ask me how this happened but apparently I’m going to be 60 later this year and to mark this occasion the kids decided it would be a good idea for us all to head off and climb Kilimanjaro! To say I am looking forward to this adventure with the wife and bairns is the understatement of the year. Now, this got me thinking, rather than you all clubbing together to buy me a shiny new Harley Davidson, or bringing me a case of beer to my party (which there isn’t going to be one) I have a better idea! I would like to use this trip as a vehicle for anyone who has a mind to, or was going to get me a wee present, to donate the equivalent amount to “The Joseph Thomson Maasai Trust’s Maasai Girls Education Project”. This is a wonderful charity which provides educational opportunities for Maasai girls which they would otherwise not get.
