Beginning on Thursday 12th September, we will be tackling The National Three Peaks Challenge. We will climb the three largest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24hours. With a total walking distance of 23 miles, and a total ascent of 3064m/10,052ft and a driving distance of 472 miles it will be no easy task but so worth it to raise money to a charity so close to our hearts. Tamworth Musical Theatre Company is an amateur theatre company founded in 1965, producing multiple high quality performances each year to loyal and wonderful audiences. As we all know, the cost of living has risen dramatically over the last few years, and in turn, so has the cost to produce our shows. To ensure that theatre is accessible to as many people as possible, we try to keep costs to our members to a minimum but that means that we rely on fundraising acitivies to continue doing what we love! So that's why Lauren and Louise have decided to get their hiking boots on and take on this insane challenge because TMTC is much more than a theatre group to us, it's a community of friends who have become family. Please, please dig deep and motivate us to complete not only the challenge, but months of training and preparation too! A huge thank you also goes to Laura who will be driving this insane route and keeping us sane!
