We want to develop a pilot project that will encourage Primary Care to refer young patients who might be suspect cancer patients to a fast track diagnostic centre; to a clinical team who will provide clinical analysis and assessment along a vital health pathway to identify early, any potential cancer risk. On average, patients have been treated for Irritable Bowel for two years prior to a correct diagnosis of Bowel Cancer being given. However, it is the young who are being missed.
