Story

(a) to acquire preserve and restore for the public benefit items of historical, architectural,engineering or scientific value in connection with narrow-gauge railways in general and The Ashover Light Railway in particular. (b) To educate the public in general of the industrial heritage of North East Derbyshire and the part played by this railway, and its operators the Clay Cross Company. (c) to advance the education of the public in the history, sociology and technology of narrow-gauge railways.
