Story

The Ark (run by the GHMCC) has been running for over 20 years in Bradford, West Yorkshire. We aim to work in, with and for the local community. We work in the community by offering low cost household goods and clothing to a very needy area. We work with the community by offering voluntary work placements and training opportunities for those who are unemployed, and have seen several volunteers find jobs, because of their experience with us. We work for the local community by providing grants of up to 500 for local projects, clubs, groups and non-for-profit organisations in the Girlington, Heaton or Manningham areas of Bradford.
