Story

St George's Everton is a lively and active parish church committed to loving God and our neighbours in the historic, diverse and ever-changing community of Everton.

We are a church made up people of different ages, backgrounds and nationalities. Everyone has a different story as to how they ended up here and we love to see new people join in.

We love our community and celebrate it even as it lives the challenges of high levels of deprivation (we are the 14th most deprived parish in England). We host the St George's Pantry- an innovative food membership scheme that brings people together to tackle food waste, bring down food bills and support each other in community.

We are privileged to worship in the world's first 'Iron Church'- an architecutral marvel that has inspired buildings such as the Liver Building to the Empire State Building. It's a special place to be but, at over 200 years old, can be expensive to maintain.

We are not a rich church in terms of money, but we are rich in love. All donations go towards keeping St George's life, work and building going.

The church and community are particulary hard hit by the economic impacts of Covid-19 so we thank you for your support!
