The Merton Centre for Independent Living is an organisation of disabled people run by disabled people for disabled people; that aims to enable disabled people to take control over their own lives and achieve full participation in Merton and wider afield. As a local GP, and the Merton CCG Clinical Director for Keeping Healthy and Well, I will be doing this walk dressed as a Spaceman, and would like to encourage all Merton residents to keep active and healthy by walking. If you would like to get involved in more walking, cycling and running activities check out the Merton on the Move scheme being launched on the same day! Our aim is for Merton residents to move a distance equal to a trip to the Moon by the end of the year!
