SolarAid believes in a world where everyone has access to clean, affordable energy. The charity aims to eradicate the toxic kerosene lamp from Africa by 2020, by building markets for the small solar light.

Solar lights save lives, protect the environment, alleviate poverty and improve education for the 90% of Sub-Saharan rural Africans living without electricity. SolarAid has already distributed over 450,000 solar lights, reaching over two million people, but there are millions more without access to this life-changing technology.
