On Friday 15th May 2015 I won't be returning to my uni room instead I'll be travelling to North Wales to climb Snowdon by moonlight along with many other fundraisers. Last year my Grandad passed away after having vascular dementia for several years and as a result we watched the man that we knew change as his memories faded. I hope that in time research will be able to come up with ways to prevent the progression of the condition or even to treat it. Both Dementia and Alzheimer's are horrible conditions in which you watch the person that you love begin to forget the times that you shared with them, the special moments that will always remind you of that person until they become a shell of the person that you once knew but still love. So on the 15th May I will climb Snowdon for my Grandad, Derek Clive King. NOTE: For anyone donating with Gift Aid, you will need to make an account first for this to be applied.
