To promote research into the causes, prevention and treatment of skin cancer generally and malignant melanoma in particular, and to publish the results of such research. To assist in developing a nation-wide programme to raise awareness of the problem of skin cancer. To help cut significantly the number of new cases of skin cancer arising each year in the United Kingdom and as a result to significantly reduce the number of deaths.
