The Shipwrecked Mariners' Society provides financial help to merchant seafarers, fishermen and their dependants who are in need. Regular grants are paid to former seafarers, their widows and partners, whose circumstances justify ongoing support. Special grants are made to meet particular needs in crisis situations. Practical assistance is given to seafarers of any nationality shipwrecked on the coast of the British Isles.
