Story
Sharelove started in 2009 in preparation to fund-raise money to support a project to get street kids in Mombasa off drugs and streets into safety. I decided to volunteer to offer help as well as money for the project. The experience changed some of my views and lives of many volunteers as well as got hundreds kids off the street. Each and every one of us was surprised by the poverty and basic conditions the kids had to live. Africa Watoto started providing sustainable feeding program in which simple changes to food management improved the diet. Many past volunteers started to sponsor childrens education.
AFRICA WATOTO supports vulnerable children in Kenya by offering help in projects, education, nutrition and child care. They are in partnership with Hope Ophan School in Mombasa, Kenya who they provide basic education to almost 100 of the poorest children in Mshomoroni slum so they get the level of education to allow them to enter a primary education and a porridge meal every day to prevent malnourishment. They are UK registered charity and you can use the Gift Aid to boost your donation.
