This fundraising page has been set up to raise money for the restoration of Grange Lido from me completing not one, but THREE swimming challenges. Grange Lido is a rare Art Deco open air swimming pool in a spectacular position in South Lakes looking over Morecambe Bay. It has fallen into disrepair since its closure over 25 years ago, but has Local Authority and community support to facilitate its restoration through a combination of grant funding and public donations. The challenges I have set myself are: Ullswater End to End swim - At 7 miles in length, Ullswater is the second longest lake in England. I am swimming the length of Ullswater on 17 Jul 2021 as part of an organised Chillswim event. 30km in August - The Save Grange Lido Swimming Team have organised a distance swim challenge and I have entered the longest challenge of swimming 30km in August. This will take sustained dedication and commitment to complete and to make it more of a challenge I am setting myself the target of completing all 30km in open water. Coniston End to End Swim - I am swimming the 5.25 mile length of Coniston on 4 September 2021 as part of an organised Chillswim event. I am hoping to transition from wetsuit to skins over the summer, so whilst this will be the third time I have participated in this event, it will be the first time I attempt it in skins (subject to weather conditions on the day).
