I am running the Portsmouth Half Marathon to raise money for the World Cetacean Alliance (WCA), the world's largest partnership working to protect whales, dolphins and porpoises! Their vision is a world where cetaceans are only found in the wild, are respected and fully protected, and live in sustainable habitats and in harmony with people everywhere. Whales and dolphins are an integral part of combating climate change and keeping our oceans healthy. They are also fundamental for the worlds economy, providing a source of income to the coastal communities that rely on them and the oceans they support. The WCA supports over 100 organisations, individuals and companies around the world who are fighting every day to protect these incredible animals but without the support of generous donations we wouldn't be able to continue this work. I have worked for the WCA for 3 years now and can tell you that every penny raised truly goes towards creating a better future for our planet.
