As many of you know I raise money for charity every other year by taking on some kind of physical challenge. This year I have been rather plagued by injury but in June I'm still aiming to complete the Norfolk Superhero Challenge, a quadrathlon involving a mile sea swim, 4 mile sea kayak, 40 mile bike ride and 8 mile beach/marsh run. Indeed this year Adam, my team-mate, and I qualify for the Zimmer championship as our combined age is over 100!
I'm raising money for two great charities which are all very close to my heart - Age International and the Orange Tree.
Age International helps older people in developing countries contribute to society and live dignified and fulfilling lives. I have been a Trustee for the last 3 years and have seen first hand what an amazing difference they make.
The Orange Tree Theatre is our local theatre in Richmond, receives no Arts Council funding and needs £450k/year to support 10000 young people get closer to the arts.
Donations on this page will be made to the Orange Tree. I know that people will also make offline donations - in that case I will direct them to Age International - please contact me for details.
With many thanks
Rob
