Advance the education of the public in the history, industrial archaeology and natural history of The Ipswich & Stowmarket Navigation. Promote and develop the recreational opportunities along the River Gipping for the benefit of the public. Promote and develop the natural environment of the Gipping Valley for the benefit of the native flora and fauna for the interest and enjoyment of the public.
