I know a few folks couldn't make it to the vision4kids ceilidh in our barn on Friday night past but have asked if there is a way to make online donations. So, I've set up this giving page and will be very grateful if you can make a small donation. Many of you will be aware that I am the UK Sponsorship Programme Coordinator - matching children in our sponsorship programme in Kiambururu, Kenya to families in the UK (and around the world) who donate on a monthly basis towards their child's educational needs. We're grateful that the sponsorship programme keeps on growing year by year, however another key project for vision4kids in Kenya is the building of a new primary school where the children will receive a high-quality Christian education and it's this project, that funds raised through the ceilidh, will be going towards. So far, a borehole has been dug to provide clean water for the site (and the local community), the first classroom block has been completed and a security hut and water storage tower erected. The kitchen has also been completed. Building work will pause now while to fund raise for the next set of classroom blocks but we hope to get started on these as soon as possible.
