Beach Access has long been a dream for many that has always been shelved due to cost, but access to the beach and many other off road areas can and should be able to be accessed by all. On the evening of 12th August, Matthew Anderson and James Black attended the Beach Access North East Trustee meeting to officially agree a new Beach Access Branch to cover the area of Hartlepool. The cost of each wheelchair is significant (£2500+) however BANE's core principle is Accessibility is for all, therefore hire of these wheelchairs are completely free. We are therefore fundraising for the purchase of our first chair with the intention of using any more monies for further purchases of chairs and infrastructure.
