I'm taking part in the SGL August Swim Challenge where I'll be aiming to swim 6,000m outdoors during the month. By pledging a donation, you'll be helping support the restoration of the stunning Grange Lido as a swimming pool. The Lido is a much loved community asset which has a place in the hearts of people locally and across the country. Since closure over 25 years ago, it has been waiting to be re-opened and now needs some considerable TLC. SGL are progressing imaginative proposals to transform it into a vibrant community owned leisure facility with a restored 50m pool at its heart. Their plans, which also include a heritage experience, a multi-functional community hub, a cafe and restaurant and a gym, can become a reality with support from you, our community and local Council.
