In February this year my family lost a dear relative, Angus Smith. Loved by all, Angus was an important character in our lives. He was a friend, a father, a father-in-law, a granddad and my step-granddad.
For his final days, he was transferred to Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope where the level of care he received was outstanding. They made sure they did everything in their power to make Angus as comfortable as possible as well as supporting us through such a difficult time. For this we will be forever in their debt.
As hospices such as Manorlands rely solely on donations to stay open, we felt compelled to give something back. It is for this reason that, as a family, we have decided to take on the Trek Kilimanjaro challenge with Sue Ryder, where we will attempt to raise money through sponsorship to climb one of the highest mountains in the world, with all of the proceeds going to Sue Ryder.
We want to ensure that Manorlands can continue to look after loved ones in the way that they looked after our Angus.
Please give generously.
Thank you.
