Hi all, having enjoyed the regular marathon distance in Belfast last year I have decided to double it and compete in the Lakeland 50 in July. Add to that; 3100m of ascent. a mandatory backpack full of kit, map/compass to navigate and terrain including mud, bog, scree, boulders etc. and you have what I call a fun day out in the Lakes.
Just completed a 28 mile practice run in the Lakes and it hurt, just means I have to train more :-) Would be nice if you could donate a little to my fundraising for Sands charity, any amount helps. Many thanks all..
