We provide practical support and care for vulnerable people who are living at home, regardless of their age, race, gender, culture or disability. Also we provide disadvantaged children with breaks from their normal environment during the holidays. Neighbours In Poplar came into being in November 1969, when concerned people organised a Christmas Party for senior citizens. This was so successful and a need had been met, volunteers began to meet regularly, visiting and providing a necessary service.
