Story

NBC UK is established on 6th March 2010. We are non-profitable, charitable and community organisation. Our aim is to promote socio-cultural activities and social integration with other communities.

Since establishment of NBC UK, we have participated in various charity and social works together with local schools and council. We also organised numerous social and cultural programs.

As of December 2016, we are now a registered charity in England and Wales (Reg. Charity no. : 1170728).

The objectives for which the charity is established are:

1) The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit for people in the UK who are socially excluded on the grounds of a language and cultural barrier, in particular but not exclusively those of Nepalese origin and Gurkha veterans, to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society by: a) the provision of education and training in the English language and other subjects; b) the provision of advice and information; and c) the provision of social and recreational facilities and events between people of different ages and backgrounds and/or involving the local community. 2) To relieve poverty and/or financial hardship among: a) People in the UK, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of grants of financial assistance or other support. b) People in Nepal. 3) The advancement of education for the public benefit in the UK and in Nepal.

These are the projects we are running currently in addition to regular cultural programs: 1. NBC-UK OAP weekly English language class. 2. NBC-UK weekly Children's Nepali language class. 3. Hostel building for a school in deprived area in Chitawan, Nepal. We are working with Laxmi Pratisthan in Nepal who are handling the whole community projects of over 100 families.
