This coming Friday 13. November I will do a 5K challenge to raise money for our sister school, the London Academy of Excellence in Tottenham. To make it interesting, I will swim rather than run the 5K and aim to complete it in 90 minutes. Why does this matter? 40% of LAET students need weekly, ongoing support - families need to choose to feed their kids or top up the electricity meter. Students at LAE Tottenham consider dropping out of their A Levels to support their families. Although some students receive additional support from the government, many narrowly miss out. £15 a week would make a life-changing difference to these families.
