Help me raise just a little and make it go a long way to fight the effects of one of the worlds most misunderstood illnesses.
Having seen firsthand how Lupus has affected both friends and family, how difficult it can be to diagnose, and how damaging it can be to live with - I'm determined to help raise money to help find and fund treatment and hopefully a cure, to help those affected and those living with Lupus, and to raise awareness of this age-old and horrible illness.
If you've never heard of Lupus before you're not alone. Systemic lupus is a chronic and presently-incurable illness of the immune system, a condition in which the body's defence mechanism begins to attack itself causing inflammation and damage in the joints, muscles and other organs. Lupus can produce many symptoms and family doctors often fail to recognise it. Typically a number of major organs can be damaged in an irreversible way.
I'm running the British 10k in London to fight the effects of this illness.
Give a little, no matter how large or small, your donation will be going to improve the lives and prospect of those suffering from this illness now and in the future.
Thanks!
