Ben Nevis Midnight Challenge Ascent approx. 5 - 6 hours Decent approx. 2 - 4 hours Myself and Hayley Stewart will be taking part in this challenge on June 20th 2014, We are hoping to raise 1000 for Alzheimers research. Our trek takes us into the heart of the Nevis Range in the Western Highlands. Our challenge is to reach the summit of Ben Nevis the highest mountain the UK, at night. We make the climb by torch and moonlight which adds significantly to the challenge! Setting off around 2230 we will be aiming to reach the summit by sunrise. This is a charity close to my heart as my mum passed away in 2010 at the early age of 59 having suffered with early onset Alzheimers for several years.
