I will be taking part in an inter office rowing competition on Friday 9th June 2017 to help raise money for IMCF, I will be rowing for 15 minutes and be part of a 32 person competition with the winning team completing the most metres over the day. I am setting this page up so my friends can help raise money for a colleague, Claire Booth, who was seriously injured along with her daughter in the recent Manchester bombing. Please read below for the reason why I am doing this - On Monday 22nd May Claire Booth, who works in the Motor team at Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office, attended the concert at Manchester Arena with her 11-year-old daughter, Hollie, and her sister, Kelly Brewster, who had previously had worked with the firm for eight years as a quantum analyst. Claire and Hollie both sustained very serious injuries which have required surgery in hospital. Tragically Kelly lost her life as a result of her injuries. Since finding out about this dreadful news employees from across the country have been organising various fundraising events in support of Claire and her family. In addition to this we have set up an online page where you can donate to the Irwin Mitchell Charitable Foundation (IMCF), who will ensure all proceeds go to Claire and her family.
