Meider Jonno Asha (Hope for Girls) works in the slums of Dhaka city, Bangladesh providing education and work opportunities for poor teenage girls. We presently care for around 80 girls. Many more need help. In Bangladesh the average age for marriage is 14.5 years. Young, illiterate girls are frequently abused and forced into early marriage or sweat shop work by desperate parents. In a society that oppresses the poor, the weak and the woman we seek, by the grace of God, to bring new hope.
