I'm running the London Marathon this year. I've done it before for various big charities, but this year I was lucky enough to get a place through the ballot. This means I am free to fund raise for anyone I want. Both of my children have had fantastic fun as part of 9th Lymington Cubs and Scouts and this is only possible due to the generosity of the leaders and other volunteers who give up their time for free. Scouting gives young people from all backgrounds new horizons and a sense of purpose as well as many opportunities to try stuff they might otherwise not be able to. A big part of 9th Lymingtons activity is sailing and I'd like to help the group raise funds for a new safety boat. If your children or grandchildren have benefited from scouts, or even if it just keeps the kids next door out of mischief, please give generously. Thanks Mark
