I'm running the Great North Run half marathon in September in aid of Spirit of Africa. Spirit of Africa is raising funds towards establishing foster care homes for children in South Africa who are without a home or without a suitable carer. The foster care homes will provide a place of safety and security, where love and affection can be provided by the child’s primary carer. In order to encourage the child’s natural development, our carers will be locally employed and will understand the cultural background of the children.
