Story
As a CBT therapist specialising in the treatment of Emetophobia, I know how hugely disabling the condition can be for its sufferers. I will be running the Rutland half marathon on Sunday 11th April to raise money for Emetophobia Action. Emet Action is the world’s first charity dedicated to emetophobia- an intense and life-altering phobia of vomiting. We provide information and advice about the treatment and care of emetophobia to sufferers and to their families. We are founded by a collaboration of mental health professionals, academics, sufferers and recovered sufferers who are joined by the same goal: to make this common disorder more widely recognized, and treated appropriately. With your help, we can advance research, educate the public about emetophobia and provide assistance to those treating it to promote best practice in supporting people with emetophobia.
