Story

Lewes Open Door is a volunteer run charity providing help and support for the homeless and vulnerable in our local community. We provide friendly, non-judgemental contact - someone to talk to and to listen. We support with housing and benefits queries, help fill in paperwork, help registering with a GP, opening a Bank Account and signpost to agencies that may be able to offer additional support. We also assist with food, clean clothes, bedding and other essentials. Ou thoughts are now turning to winter when we will need to buy new thermals, warm socks and underwear. We will also plan a Christmas lunch and some treats, probably for around 20. If you could help us with a donation it would be really appreciated. Many thanks.
