Legend on the Bench is an initiative set up to install benches in local parks across the UK, with discrete links to Mental Health and Suicide Support organisations, where anyone can find the help they require, without any stigmatism. It isn't until people are in their darkest place, that they look at ending it all and we hope to give them some light, in the form of professional support groups and organisations, who can guide them to a better place. The total cost of a bench, including council fees is around £1800. Each one has a QR code that can be scanned by any smartphone, and opens up the Charity website, which has direct links to the likes of The Samaritans, Suicide Prevention UK, MIND, Harmless, YoungMinds, SHOUT, ChildLine and Veterans In Need. If a bench saves just one life, it will be worth the effort, but we aim to save many, and help not only the people in need, but their loved ones too. Thank you for visiting our Givey page.
