As my friends and family know I'm not a runner ...however I wanted to set myself a challenge to complete the Stafford 10km race, along with my three village friends Anna, Angie and Lou. I would like to raise money for 'The Heart of Weston' to support a local village charity set up in loving memory of brothers Chris and Steven Phillips, who both tragically died of a Cardiac Arrest: Sudden Adult Death Syndrome; aged 28 and 29 respectively. The Heart of Weston has been established to give something back to the village. This community-based charity will help to protect others living in Weston and surrounding villages. The aim of the charity is to: Maintain the defibrillator situated at the Village Hall Provide heart screening for 14-35 year olds (12 young people die of a cardiac arrest in the UK every week) Provide ECGs for adults Provide general first aid training for adults and children
