Laughter Africa works with street children in Africa to fulfil their aspirations and to help them to bring about positive change in their lives in the following ways:

(1) By trying to trace the street children's families in the hope that they can be reunited with their family. This is dependent on if the family situation is safe and secure. If the family situation is not safe, then an alternative long-term home will be found e.g. fostering. Once they have returned home to their families, an educational subsidy will be offered to enable the street children to finish their education.

(2) While the reunification process takes place, the street children will be able to stay at the Laughter Africa hostel which is a temporary safe space for street children to live in while we attempt to find their families. At the hostel; food, clothing, health care, education, counselling, support and other essentials will be provided.

(3) Many street children choose to stay on the streets. A key part of the work of Laughter Africa is reaching out to those street children by providing healthcare, food and other support when needed.
