So, we've moved to the south coast and what better time to sign up for a 10k than when you've had no time to train as all spare hours are taken up painting, sanding, weeding a garden & putting up curtain poles - the new joys of being a home owner! So, on the 4th October I'm being joined by my running partner in crime from Bristol and we WILL be completing the Bournemouth 10k! I can't promise any amazing times on this occasion but I can promise I will do my best! I'm raising money this time for MacMillan Cancer Support in thanks for the wonderful care my Grandpa received 30 years ago. I can't remember my Grandpa - but I treasure the fact that he held me in his arms, and I know it's a comfort for all the family in the care he received before he left us for heaven. I know he'll be looking down on us and cheering us on - as the only other true Scot in the family I'm determined I'll do him proud! Unfortunately it's an inevitability that I myself or loved ones will need the support of MacMillan at some point in our future - and whilst cancer effects so many of us MacMillan play such a crucial role in supporting us through those difficult times. I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all those who supported me and my family more recently as my Mum fought off cancer in her true determined way. MacMillan was once again there, to support my Mum - that support continues to this day and once again I am so grateful. I would be hugely appreciative of anything you can give so that MacMillan can continue to support your family and mine in the future. Thank you xx
