Story

The aim of the Committee is to undertake improvements to the local area. We look after the Old Quay so that visitors and locals can use it for various water sports, picnics and gatherings and our own local fundraising events. Our next Project is restoration of the old slip and the erection of a permanent shelter. We also look after a Community Orchard which grows apples, quince and other soft fruit, and makes and sells juice from the harvest. In addition we have raised funds for local defibrillators and we are responsible for the ongoing maintenance of these. We rely entirely on volunteers and fund raising efforts to carry out this work.
