These are truly unprecedented days. Covid-19 has left many families without loved ones. Vulnerable families are locked in, unable to go out even for basic food necessities. In 3rd world countries, such as Kenya where poverty already exists, the need for basic supplies is even greater. We would like to raise urgent funds for the families in Kenya connected with our Blessed Hill Academy school. These funds will be used to provide food parcels to needy families. Parcels will contain the following:
Maize flour
Cooking oil (1L)
Soap
Bread
Beans 10kg
Carrots
Cabbage
Biscuits
Gospel literature
In order to minimise risk of Covid-19 infection to our Vision4kids team in Kenya, all goods will be delivered to our school kitchen to avoid unnecessary travel.
These packages will then be distributed to local families via motorbike taxi men. Any large quantities will be sub divided into smaller parcels on site at the kitchen by the team if required.
We hope to deliver packages to around 100 BHA families as well as a further 10 homes neighbouring our school.
The estimated cost of the above is circa £1250.
Even in the midst of Covid-19 we are mindful that our God is still on the throne therefore please pray that the gospel will go forth in these days through the distribution of gospel literature. Please pray for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom and pray that we will be able to raise the funds necessary to supply these basic food parcels to our school families.
Thank you!
