Story

Katty's Territory Empower and Support CIC is about empowering and supporting young people with long term illnesses and their carers. I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus at the age of nine and my journey from diagnosis to treatment, managing and acceptance, led me to create Katty's Territory website to share my experiences. Now my mum and I have created the Empower and Support CIC to use those experiences, both positive and negative to help empower and support other young people with long term illnesses and their carers. Our aim is to empower and support young people to express how the feel and to have more say over the care they receive. To enable cares to effectively represent their young person and create opportunities to share these experiences with service providers to improve the patient experience.
