Cerys and I are walking the Northumberland Coastal Walk in aid of Silverline Memories. This is a 26.2 mile walk across our favourite English coastline. Silverline Memories is a charity that provides 'places to go and things to do' for people with dementia, including cafes, tea dances, outings to the cinema and theatre and much more. Cerys chose this charity because she really enjoyed watching families dancing and having fun at one of the Christmas party events. We lost our 'greatma' this year just before her 97 birthday, she lived with dementia in the later years of her life and we both feel that opportunities for people with dementia to get out and about can only be a good thing.
