Kathryn, Hamish and Gavin are going to run a half marathon over the Ashdown Forest to raise money for Nutley FC's pitch improvement programme.

Nutley FC is a small grassroots football club based in the village of Nutley, East Sussex. It's a non profit community group staffed by volunteers from our local community. The pitches have suffered from waterlogging and worm casts. They commissioned a report of our pitches from the Sussex FA & Institute of Groundsmanship which has detailed the steps they need to take to make improvements. Following these steps will improve the quality of the playing surfaces, reduce postponement of matches and allow for the hosting of one more adult team (hopefully a women’s team) and hopefully another junior team.

So we're going a run a half marathon through the mud and over the hills. Wish us luck!
