Hi all, I have been cycling into work and getting fit in order to partake in an amazing fund raising event that needs all our support. I will be completing an incredible 250km Charity Bike Safari ride in April 2020 near the shores of Lake Malawi. All the money will be passed to African Vision Malawi who have been supporting the creation of a village to support orphan children, giving them a home, an education and the skills to develop and contribute to their future and the future of this village. The Landirani Training Village is based approx 30km from the capital, Lilongwe. It has been built over time by the local community, using traditional materials and skills. The village requires ongoing support for the 3000 orphans, elders and vulnerable people living and working there. The aim is to offer a better future for the community and particularly the younger people by teaching them how to become self supporting. Some of the new projects needed include building a Pre-School (endorsed by UNICEF), Training accommodation, Permaculture workshops and much more.
