Olivia & Joe are running together in the Manchester 10k to help raise money for refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds! PAFRAS Leeds support asylum seekers who are destitute or at risk of destitution who have no access to housing or benefits and are not allowed to work. They provide basic humanitarian support and a route out of destitution for those most in need. Since opening PAFRAS has served over 6000+ free meals, help 50+ families a month who use their services and over 40 consultations a week. They now see over 100 people at their drop in per week where they provide a hot meal, advice and case work, mental health support, food parcels and toiletries. They're in desperate need of money and supplies to cope with the increased demand and need for their services. Even a few pounds can make a difference! They offer emergency crisis intervention (food parcels, vouchers and emergency accommodation), independent OISC-regulated immigration advice, casework and integrated mental health support for refugees and asylum seekers. PAFRAS is a great charity and we hope to help them as much as we can through running the Manchester 10k!
