In Grange-over-Sands, sits a beautiful but soulless abandoned 50m pool, I am part of a team of volunteers working hard to restore it, bringing it back to life to hear the joy, laughter and splashes ringing out once again. It is in a spectacular location, nestled on the shores of Morecambe Bay with stunning views. The benefits of restoring it for the community and visitors alike are phenomenal, safe outdoor sports facilities have never been needed more than now. To raise funds for Save Grange Lido CBS, I'm really challenging myself by taking part in the August Swim Challenge, aiming to swim 12,000m during the month. By pledging a donation, you'll be helping to support the restoration of 'Grange Bathing Pool' as it is affectionately known by those that remember swimming there. We are progressing imaginative proposals to transform it into a vibrant inclusive, community owned leisure facility with a beautiful 50m pool at its heart. Our plans, also include a heritage experience, a multi-functional community hub, a cafe, restaurant and a gym. Any support that you can give is so very much appreciated.
