Jac Jones will be running 10k at The Great Manchester Run on the 10th of May and all sponsorship she receives will be donated to Home-Start Oldham, Stockport and Tameside (HOST). Linda, Jac's mum has been a volunteer with HOST for a number of years supporting local families. Inspired by her mum's stories, Jac wanted to help HOST by raising money. "I just wanted to do something for a charity that doesn't get as much recognition and I would know what the money is going towards." Said Jac Jones. UPDATE 01/05/2015 Linda Jones will also be running with her daughter. We thank them both for their commitment and wish them luck for the race! HOST supports families with children under five by recruiting and training volunteers to provide a wide range of support to local families. As well as the home visiting volunteers, HOST provides breastfeeding support in the community. Donations received will be put into the Friends of Home-Start Oldham, Stockport & Tameside group. This funds an annual free Christmas Party that is provided for the families supported by volunteers.
