On Saturday 13th September Putney Arts Theatre, where Ive worked for the past 15 years, hosts its 50th anniversary celebratory weekend. No mean feat for an organisation thats pretty much self-supporting. It was here where I met the wonderful Ben Redding who has sadly been taken away from us way to soon. For those who did not know him he was about the nicest man you could wish to meet, he had a great infectious personality and generally had me in stitches most of the time. Ben devoted years to Putney Arts Theatre, the place meant a great deal to him. His charity Force helps those suffering from cancer and it needs all the help it can get. Ill be doing a 20+ mile bike ride around SW London and will be pledging 50 for the theatres 50th and for its ongoing fundraising campaign but I would also like to do this in memory of Ben and raise as much as I can for Force. I'm sure like me you've done your bit this year for charity but this comes from a friend who's never asked before. It would mean a lot to me right now if you could support me.
